  1. I am so sick and tried of seeing beautiful draperies dragging or puddling on the floor. It looks sloppy!

  2. I like the tip about painting furniture the same color as the wall. Im gonna give it a try 👍

  3. Great advice on adding color on the walls… AND I’m in what I believe will be a long line!!! Pucker up!

  4. Thank you for this video! My friends and I just bought a house and your video is helping spark our interior design creativity and realize our dreams for our space

    1. My roommate wanted to add how much we appreciate your style of video. You’re very concise and intelligent in your word choices and phrasing, and you have a very engaging manner. She loses patience with YouTubers a lot, because she feels they are too talkative and waste time, but you have the best “elevator speech hook” intro, and this might have beeen the first video she’s watched all the way through in years! I guess what we’re trying to say is your videos are very ADHD friendly so I’ll be recommending you to my friends in the ADHD/neurodivergent communities online 🙂 Can’t wait to watch the rest of your videos!

  5. The removing a bookshelf tip blew my mind! I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of that myself before. Thanks!

  6. I live 2 hours north of Atlanta. I’ve never been to an ikea. I don’t know what is ikea or not. That little case with the glass drawer was near looking.

  7. I do not get it, why, if you like Ikea do you have to hide that it is Ikea? I get the part, that you wan’t it to look more personale, I too like homes, where you can tell, who livets there…. Since I am Danish, and a true “hygge” – Dane, i prefer Hygge to what you call high-end. To me, high end, is cold, and why is it so important, to show of, as if you are rich… Is richness to you, more important? Is it more important, that your home, expensiveto or not, has to look expensiveto? Our home is Nice, harmonic and cosy, and invite people in, because it is a home, where you are allowed to move, touch, live, play and be in. And it still looks Nice and is allways tidy and clean.

  8. I’ve been shopping at IKEA (sometimes with my designer friend) for years. I like the clean, simple lines that look high end if used properly.I use the Merete curtain in floor to ceiling length. I bought a large wool rug about 20 years ago that still looks great and is larger than what they sell these days and a similar tug at design store costs almost $1000! .

  9. I think it’s a really good video but I think you might not understand or forget to mention that Ikea mainly designs for European homes. They are much, much smaller than American homes and so yes, every room needs to work hard and all space is necessarily efficient. The scale is correct for small spaces – generally Ikea isn’t designing for large luxury homes.

  10. Can you share how to use curtain clips so curtains hang Nicely ( as in your video)? They seem to often look junky and messy when I see them elsewhere ( and when I’ve tried them I the past). I don’t think we know how to put them on well. Thanks!!
