I have trouble with furniture placement
This is Amazing, what a gem of a video and great visual examples. I am overwhelmed and have mismatched everything in the house. Reason being, trying to balance cost of furniture and lack of knowledge. I think I lean towards Scandinavian and modern look, I guess I will have to get rid of all my furniture and start over? and also repaint the beige color walls to white?
Is it every okay to mix up a style throughout a house and still make it cohesive? i.e. Farmhouse with modern or contemporary. As in, a basement is more contemporary but generally the house screams farmhouse. Can you mix up looks from one room to the next without it looking tacky? For example, bedroom might be more French farmhouse but another room might be more Scandinavian?

‘ Gypsy’ – GRT people are an ethnicity, not a lifestyle. Boho’ – Bohemians are a Czech Roma people. The style you describe I have never seen in a Gypsy home.

I thought modern style looks very similar to contemporary style? Perhaps my eye isn’t yet trained to notice the subtle differences. I liked both. There was more styles than I expected.

All these designs are beautiful in their own way but it seems that the majority of designs, the color palette is so damn bright. Whites and on top of more bright neutral colors. It’s almost blinding to look at sometimes. Felt alot of at home when you showed the industrial style. Seems so much more low and cozy. 😍
Love Scandinavian! Didn’t know it was a thing but it is definitely my thing with hints of modern. I’m inspired!
My home is a mix of styles, such as a transitional grandmother aesthetic to modern coastal cottage. I strive for a cohesive look, but I get derailed when one style crosses into another. For example, I have a large old dining table with thick farm table legs, but I when I try to pair with a traditional hutch or antique buffet, it looks disconnected. I need a clearer vision 🙂
